William Morris Cushion |
 |
The design for this unusual sofa seat is
attributed to William Morris and his apprentice and successor
Henry Dearle. A watercolour of the design (1880-1890) is
at the William Morris Gallery. A panel was woven in about
1910 by Morris & Co after the death of Morris and while
Dearle was running the company.

Beth has also produced a larger version of this
design suitable for use as a piano stool, a wall hanging
or for making into a rug. Called the William Morris Panel,
you can see it by clicking
