Inspired by the amusing ceramic tiles produced by William De Morgan in the 1870s, each is worked with DMC cottons on 16#/inch Aida, following a high quality colour/symbol chart and detailed instructions. De Morgan started with stained glass and only later became a potter. He supplied William Morris from his works in Merton near Morris' own.
